Kim Yo-jong, deputy head of the Central Committee of the North Korean Workers’ Party, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, issued a statement calling on the United States to drop the confrontation with Pyongyang.
As the sister of the North Korean leader emphasized (her words are reported by the Yonhap agency), as long as the United States follows such a policy, the DPRK will develop the “most powerful” nuclear deterrent system.
Kim Yo-jong assured that “trying to touch” North Korea would be “very expensive” for the United States. Washington in this case “expects very unfavorable things.”
In addition, he noted that the response to US efforts to increase its strategic assets on the Korean peninsula will be further “unrestrained and large-scale” actions by Pyongyang. Kim Yo-jong added that no one can oppose North Korea’s missile tests.
