Oleg Matytsin on the activities of the Ministry of Sports: “As of June 2023, the planned values ​​have been achieved in all indicators” – Athletics

Oleg Matytsin said that the Ministry of Sports has achieved all the targets for June 2023.

“As of June 2023, the planned values ​​have been achieved for all indicators. The value of the key indicator “the share of citizens systematically engaged in physical culture and sports” in June reached 53.04%, and the indicator “the level of provision of citizens with sports facilities” has already exceeded the planned value at the end of this year: the fact for June is 63.1%, the plan for 2023 – 60.4%.

We pay great attention to the creation of infrastructure, the emphasis is on pre-fabricated structures and holding mass sports classes on them. I consider it necessary to maintain this trend.

At the end of 2022, we have certain problems with achieving a number of indicators. The planned indicator “the share of middle-aged citizens (women 30-54 years old; men 30-59 years old) who systematically go in for physical culture and sports” was 41.3%, the actual figure was 41.1%, this indicator has always been difficult for us to achieve.

Also, the problem area is the factor of the number of full-time employees of physical culture and sports, the plan is 428 thousand people, the fact is 413.1 thousand people.

The most problematic indicator is “the share of Russian athletes included in the top eight athletes at the World and European Championships”, the plan is 45%, the fact is 0%, it was not achieved due to the non-admission of Russian athletes to international competitions, ”said Minister of Sports at a meeting of the Presidium of the United Russia party.
