Avtovaz has resumed production of Lada Granta with ABS | Car

The Avtovaz automobile concern has resumed production of the Lada Granta, equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

It allows you to maintain controllability during emergency braking, preventing complete wheel lockup and uncontrolled skidding.

“ABS is installed on all models of the Granta family, starting with the Classic package. The recommended retail price for the Lada Granta with ABS starts at 772,500 rubles,” the manufacturer said in a statement.

Lada Granta is the cheapest and best-selling car in the Russian market. According to the results of 6 months of 2023, 98,113 LADA Granta were sold in the Russian Federation.

It was previously reported that AvtoVAZ is negotiating the localization of Chinese cars Dongfeng Motor Corporation under its own Lada brand at a Russian plant.

Sources said that the production of Chinese cars could be launched at the AvtoVAZ plant in Izhevsk. The assembly could start as early as the end of this year. The sources also said that AvtoVAZ is negotiating with other Chinese companies.
