The Russian military knocked out the tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine while trying to repair the caterpillar in the Svatovsko-Kremensky direction in the LPR, reports RIA Novosti.

“There was a tank, its caterpillar <…> it flew off, a repair crew came, they just worked on it. The first sighting shell did not reach, the second sighting shell flew over, and the third shell hit the target,” the battery commander with the call sign “Shaman” told the agency.

He clarified that the enemy’s combat vehicle was destroyed by an artillery crew of 2S19 “Msta-S” self-propelled guns of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District.

Earlier it was reported that servicemen of the “Southern” group of Russian troops repulsed 16 attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the day in the Donetsk direction. The Ukrainian army lost up to 280 soldiers in this direction.

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in six months liquidated three of their tank crews, who tried to surrender to Russian soldiers on the territory of the DPR.
