The transmission of the coordinates of the positions of the Russian Armed Forces guarding the ZNPP was interrupted in Energodar | Accidents

Russia’s FSB in the Zaporozhye region has disrupted the activities of a resident of Energodar, who transmitted the coordinates of the positions of the Russian army guarding the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to the Ukrainian military. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the department.

It is specified that the man passed on the information received to his relative, who serves in the artillery unit of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, operating in the Zaporozhye direction.

“Through his activities, the spy contributed to the Ukrainian troops inflicting artillery strikes on Russian positions, as a result of which Russian servicemen were killed and wounded,” the FSB noted.

Also during the investigation, the man admitted to having committed the crime at the request of his brother, who serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under the article “Espionage”.

Earlier it was reported that the FSB has asked the Moscow court to arrest a foreign citizen suspected of espionage. Case details are not provided.
