Pentagon: Ukraine will take years to reach the level of the RF Armed Forces in the air | In the world | Politics

Bringing the military capabilities of the Ukrainian army in flight to the level of the RF Armed Forces would require years of financial investment and pilot training. This was stated by the head of the committee of the Pentagon headquarters Mark Milli, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“Ten F-16s are two billion dollars, the Russians have hundreds of fourth and fifth generation fighters,” he said, adding that to achieve parity between Ukraine and Russia, it is necessary to supply a large number of aircraft and spend years on pilot training.

For this reason, the United States is focusing its efforts on providing the Armed Forces with air defense capabilities, Milley concluded.

The Pentagon has previously noted that for the time being it is worth postponing the supply of F-16 fighters to Ukraine, since sufficient conditions have not been created in the country for this. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Russia would view the supply of F-16s to the Ukrainian military as a nuclear threat from the West.
