Oryol Region Governor Andrey Klychkov supported the idea of forming a territorial defense detachment in the region.
The owner’s opinion on this region is published on the Internet portal of the regional government. Klychkov noted that the Oryol region is not a border region, it is on high alert. However, the authorities are well informed and follow what is happening in the Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh regions.
According to the governor, it is necessary to build a “civil rearguard” so that residents can receive medical training and learn to handle weapons. He also expressed the hope that the region’s detachments would not be needed, but added that one must be prepared for anything.
In the Russian Federation, territorial defense detachments are already operating in the border regions – Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions.
