State Duma deputy from the United Russia faction Sultan Khamzaev announced the need to introduce the personal responsibility of officials to promote alcohol initiatives.
The parliamentarian insists that public officials are obliged to respond if “something goes wrong” with the expansion of the alcohol market. They should also be held liable in cases related to the lifting of certain restrictions. He proposed to fix the responsibility by collecting signatures, writes RIA Novosti.
According to Khamzaev, if any official or deputy advocates expanding the market for alcoholic products, proposes to lift restrictions, etc., he must put his signature. In the future, if “something goes wrong, you will answer: with your chair and family responsibility, similar to that of smugglers.”
