Krasnoyarsk law enforcement officers detained a local resident who attacked his wife from behind and nearly hacked her to death with a machete.
According to the regional police press service, the incident occurred in the courtyard of a residential building on Tchaikovsky Street, Leninsky District. According to police, a 37-year-old man attacked his 39-year-old wife from behind and began stabbing her.
Fortunately, the woman was able to escape and run to a nearby barbershop. Institution employees called the police to the scene, and the ambulance took the victim to the hospital.
Shortly after, the attacker was arrested and his machete was confiscated. The detainee himself admitted that he was jealous of his wife.
Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case against the jealous man under the article “Threat of death or serious bodily harm”.
