The passenger of a small plane replaced the pilot who felt unwell and made an emergency landing.
According to the Daily Mail, an extraordinary event occurred in the US state of Massachusetts, when the plane was approaching the airport on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. The pilot’s health deteriorated drastically, he required emergency medical attention. The passenger then took control of the aircraft and crash-landed short of the runway. Because of this, a wing of the plane broke in half.
The sick pilot was taken to a medical center. It is reported that at the time he was in a life-threatening condition. Now the state police and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the causes of the incident.
