A mysterious giant copper-colored cylinder has washed up on the coast of Western Australia.
According to The Guardian, the appearance of this object puzzled both local residents and the police. The cylinder lying on its side appears badly damaged. There are also suggestions that his bottom is torn off of something.
Western Australia Police said they were unsure of the origin of the cylinder and considered it unsafe. Law enforcement officials stressed that they are now actively working to find out the origin of the item. And they urged everyone not to draw any conclusions until more information is received. Officers guard the unknown object to maintain the objectivity of the investigation and facilitate further examination.
Police have ruled out the hypothesis that the cylinder is related to flight MH370, which disappeared in March 2014 en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. According to social media users, this could be the third stage of an Indian launch vehicle to launch satellites into polar orbit.
