State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov wrote to the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin about the need to develop a program in the country to improve the infrastructure of tourist places.
In the letter, the parliamentarian pointed out that the tourist flow in the country has been growing steadily in recent years. Both residents of the Russian Federation and foreign guests travel to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Veliky and Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, the cities of the Golden Ring and the Far East.
In many cities, against the background of an influx of tourists, they are actively developing commercial areas and relevant infrastructure. But Milonov noticed that he receives a lot of messages, the authors of which complain about the shortcomings of tourist places.
Especially a lot of dissatisfaction, according to him, causes tourists the lack or complete absence of public toilets, changing rooms and places for personal hygiene. This brings a lot of inconvenience for people, especially for those who travel with children.
To remedy the situation, Milonov proposes to create and implement a federal program to equip tourist and visited places, cities, places and similar facilities with the necessary number of public toilets equipped with changing rooms and places for breastfeeding.
