A very unusual message arrived at the Élysée Palace in Paris shortly before the national holiday.
According to Valeurs Actuelles, citing an informed source, on July 9 and 10, a few days before the Bastille Day holiday (it is celebrated on July 14), the Élysée Palace Correspondence Service received a letter in the mail in which there was… a human finger. It is not specified who and for what purpose sent this envelope. At the same time, it is indicated that the finger was placed in the refrigerator, where the local police officers left their food.
The journalists learned that the identity of the person who owns the finger has been established and “the corresponding services will take over” it. The Elysee Palace declined to comment on the incident.
