The countries of the European Union (EU) are developing a military support plan for kyiv, which provides for the supply of weapons and the training of the military.
According to information received by the daily Político from diplomatic sources, the total cost of this plan will amount to 20,000 million euros. The supply plan for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is designed for the next 4 years. Funding is likely to come from a specific European Peace Fund.
The publication writes that such cash injections for arms supplies are “radical ideological changes” to the self-perception of the EU, which has always positioned itself as a peaceful project.
It should be noted that this plan will add to the previously proposed EU budget assistance package in the amount of €50 billion also for 4 years. The European Commission has already asked EU states to make additional contributions.
