Deputy Chernyshov announced mass inflation after shopping in stores | Society

State Duma deputy chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party Boris Chernyshov revealed a massive contraction of inflation (a decrease in the amount of goods in a package while maintaining the price) in the capital’s shops after mass purchases of dairy products. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the parliamentarian.

Note that bulk purchases were made anonymously from July 1 to July 18 in the busiest network supermarkets in Moscow. During the raids, 122 outlets were checked. It turned out that 87% of the range of dairy products has packages of 925-950 milliliters. Visually, they do not differ from 1 liter containers.

During the purchase, it also became known that buckwheat, rice, millet, oatmeal are packaged in packages of 450 and 900 grams instead of 500 grams and 1 kilogram in 97% of cases. At the same time, the weight and volume of the goods are indicated in small print compared to the price.

The press service added that the purpose of the raids was to identify shrink reduction in stores.

It was previously reported that Russian producers of dairy products began to indicate on parcels more often not the volume of the goods, but its weight, imperceptibly hiding from the buyer a decrease in the quantity of the product.
