The dry cargo ship “Inzhener Shutkova” ran aground in the Nizhny Novgorod region | Accidents

The Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office announced that the dry cargo ship “Inzhener Shutkova” ran aground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The Prosecutor’s Telegram channel reports it.

It was clarified that the dry cargo ship loaded with crushed stone went along the Shcheleiki – Nizhny Novgorod route, but ran aground at the 885th kilometer of the Volga River.

At the same time, the prosecutor’s office noted that the vessel does not interfere with the movement of other vessels. At present, specialists are unloading the dry cargo vessel and refloating it, no oil spill has been recorded.

Earlier, the Pavel Bazhov ship, which was cruising along the Volga, ran aground near the village of Cherny Yar in the Astrakhan region. There were 193 passengers and 60 crew members on board.
