Alexander Zaitsev won Lake Placid 1980 paired with Irina Rodnina.

Zaitsev and Rodnina are also Olympic champions of the 1976 Games in Innsbruck.

Torches from the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi were also sold at RR Auction. They paid $2,000 and $1,900 respectively.
