Starting from September 1, in basic military training lessons, Russian schoolchildren will begin to study the basics of using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
This was announced by the Vice President of the Council for the Development of the Digital Economy of the Federation Council, Senator Artyom Sheikin. He pointed out that the corresponding initiative was prepared during the work of the council section for the development of the digital economy under the Federation Council.
The proposals were sent to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. They supported the idea. It was also positively received by the Ministry of Education.
Therefore, it is planned that from the beginning of September, the students of the national schools will begin to study “the basics of the use of drones in combat” in the initial military training lessons.
