Badajoz continues with its commitment to the future with Fidel Ibáñez
Badajoz maintains its commitment to the future and adds another sub-23 card to its squad. David Tenorio completes his list of full-backs with Fidel Ibáñez, waiting for what happens with youth squad Edu Sánchez. The Sevillian player reinforces the right side of the black and white team, a position in which he already has Adán Gurdiel.
Fidel Ibáñez López (Albaida del Aljarafe, 2001) comes from Xerez CD of the Andalusian Tercera where he played 24 games and qualified for the promotion phase to the Second RFEF. The footballer signs for one season with the option of another depending on objectives. His natural position is right-footed defense, although his versatility will allow David Tenorio to use him as a winger if circumstances require it. Trained at Castilleja, he has also gone through Utrera and Gerena.
It so happens that after the end of the season, Fidel Ibáñez was in negotiations to renew with Xerez when he committed to Pozoblanco and his signing was announced on June 27, a club with which, after interest from Badajoz, he reached an agreement to break his contract and has not yet trained as the preseason is scheduled to start on July 31. The Cordovan club explained in a note his departure to the Nuevo Vivero. “After receiving an offer from CD Badajoz, from Segunda RFEF, and reaching an agreement to dissociate himself from CD Pozoblanco, Fidel Ibáñez is no longer part of our club.”
With the arrival of Fidel Ibáñez, the black and white coach already has twelve players on the squad with the continuity of Miguel Narváez, Edu Sánchez and Carlos Cordero and the additions of Adri Carrasco, Sandro Toscano, Chacartegui, Toni Jou, Moisés García, Adán Gurdiel, Castri and Samu Manchón.
