The State Duma proposed to ban the issuance of loans without the personal presence of the borrower | Society

The issuance of loans and loans to the population without the personal presence of a citizen in a financial organization should be prohibited, this opinion was expressed by the deputy of the State Duma Vitaly Milonov, reports RT.

According to the deputy, the main problem for Russians is that it is quite easy to get a loan.

Also, in his appeal to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Milonov noted that this is used by scammers looking for loopholes in the rules for issuing loans.

Previously, the Central Bank offered Russians a mechanism to self-prohibit the issuance of loans in order to combat credit fraud. Now the initiative is in the phase of interdepartmental coordination.

Under the proposed option, banks and microfinance organizations (MFOs) will have to check for self-restraints in the borrower’s credit history before issuing loans.
